The NCPS Government Affairs Committee engages our membership on local, state and federal policy issues that impact our profession and patient care and informs the work of the California State Association of Psychiatrists (CSAP) with representation on the CSAP Board and Specialty Committees.

Key Contacts respond to alerts to help influence the policy process at the local and state level with grassroots action. At the most basic level it is sending pre-drafted or personal emails to your legislators. Other possible engagements could be attending county meetings or advocacy days at the Capitol.
