NCPS Chapters
The NCPS Chapters are chartered by the Society. Chapters agree to conduct all business in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Society. Membership in a Chapter is open to any physician eligible for membership in NCPS who resides or practices within the geographical limits of the Chapter. Only members of the NCPS are eligible for elective office in Chapters. Chapter Presidents serve on the NCPS Council for their term of office.
Central Coast Counties Chapter
Founded in 1977, the Central Coast Counties Chapter meets for lunch or dinner on an irregular schedule to convey political/legislative news, local county mental health activities, and to hear clinical discussions. The meeting usually features a professional speaker with a topic of interest to members.

East Bay Psychiatric Association
Originally founded in approximately 1950, the Association became an NCPS chapter in 1974. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month (except December, May, July and August) for a dinner meeting, usually followed by a speaker on a subject of broad interest about the human condition. Occasional meetings have no speaker, but emphasize a "round-table" discussion on topics of current concern to members. Meetings are held at selected restaurants in the Berkeley/Oakland area or in Central Contra Costa County. Council meetings are the first Monday of alternate months. Marin Psychiatric Society
Founded in 1977, the Marin Psychiatric Society meets three to four times per year for dinner and an educational program. A meeting in May is traditionally held jointly with the Marin Psychological Society.
